YELLOW RIBBON
The Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention program works with communities to develop suicide prevention initiatives, and provides training and workshops about prevention and intervention. The programs encourage young people to seek help when they need it and to encourage their friends to ask for help.

ASK4HELP CARDS
Yellow Ribbon distributes Ask4Help cards to young people in order to provide them with ways to seek help, either by using the card as a request for help or by calling one of the listed hotlines. Ask4Help cards can be ordered from Yellow Ribbon or you can print them on your own printer at the Yellow Ribbon Print-Your-Own-Cards page.
HOTLINES
The Yellow Ribbon cards provide referrals to two hotline numbers (not Yellow Ribbon numbers) which provide counseling and crisis intervention. 1-800-SUICIDE (1-800-784-2433) and 1-800-273-TALK (1-800-273-8255) are 24/7 hotlines available for those contemplating suicide or experiencing other emotional crises.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Yellow Ribbon also aims to educate the community to know how to respond to the needs of young people, and advocates for suicide prevention legislation. Since its introduction, Yellow Ribbon has positively affected the lives of thousands of teenagers around the world.
