TRAUMA AWARENESS DAY PART 1

Trauma Awareness Day 2010 was split into two sessions again this year. Thanks to the RockHounds, our volunteers and all our community supporters, this event continues to attract big crowds and has a real impact on our children. An incredible crowd of more than 6400 people attended Session 1 on May 5 at the CitiBank Ballpark in Midland, Texas. In addition to the ball game, there were 17 tables set up for students and teachers to receive information regarding injury prevention and safety. The RAC had close to 50 volunteers on hand to work the tables and talk to the kids. What a great opportunity this was! Our special guests were the BMX Skate Show out of California. They put on an amazing show and talked to kids about riding with personal safety gear and how to inspect their bikes to make sure the bikes are ready to go safely. They were sponsored by several physicians in Midland and Peyton's Bikes in Midland. The kids LOVED their show!
