The Texas “J” RAC held their 6th annual Trauma Awareness Day on May 16, 2007 in Midland, Texas. Despite the gloomy weather, attendance was great! An estimated 2585 students represented 35 schools in attendance |

The Texas “J” RAC consists of 17 counties in West Texas Between the hospitals, EMS providers, and other supporting participants in the Texas “J” RAC, there were 25 booths at the event, including demonstrations with emergency vehicles. |

Educational offerings included injury prevention programs, effects of drinking and driving, suicide prevention, and overall safety promotion. |

| Highlights this year were the baseball game - Midland RockHounds vs. the Frisco Roughriders, and a special guest performer, Mike Steidley, who performed amazing bicycle stunts while promoting bicycle safety and the use of helmets. |
