The Texas “J” RAC held their 5th annual Trauma Awareness Day on May 10, 2006 at the CitiBank Ballpark in Midland, Texas. Working with the Midland RockHounds baseball representatives, they were able to reach out and educate thousands of people. |

The goal of this event is to educate the community about injury prevention in an effort to prevent trauma related injuries and deaths. |

In addition to seeing a baseball game, attendees were given information on such things as injury prevention, effects of drinking and driving, suicide prevention and overall safety issues. |

| The Texas “J” RAC consists of 17 counties in West Texas Between the hospitals, EMS providers, and other supporting participants in the Texas “J” RAC, there were 25 booths and over 130 volunteers at the event. |
